The Historic Acropolis Rally marks the fourth round of the Greek Historic Rally Championship! With a coefficient 3, the event provides Greek competitors with extra motivation to chase victory and improve their standings in the rankings of the championship.<\/p>\n

Rally Sprint Egion<\/strong> was the Championship\u2019s opening event, following the cancellation of Rally Sprint Viotias. Held in early June, last year\u2019s champions, Marios Stafylopatis and Giorgos Chatzirigas<\/strong>, claimed victory driving a BMW M3 E30. In second place finished hillclimb champion Ioannis Katsikas with Nikos Babal\u00eds<\/strong> as co-driver in a Ford Escort MKII, while Alexandros Christodoulou and Athanasios Samaras<\/strong> secured third in a Lancia Stratos HF.<\/p>\n

Nearly a month later, Lamia hosted the Championship\u2019s second round. In the 41st Rally Fthiotidos<\/strong>, Marios Stafylopatis and Giorgos Chatzirigas<\/strong> achieved their second consecutive win of the season, once again behind the wheel of their BMW M3 E30. This time, Alexandros Christodoulou and Athanasios Samaras <\/strong>finished second in a Lancia Stratos HF, while Lymberis Papazoglou and Maria Nikolopoulou <\/strong>took third in a Lancia Delta Integrale.<\/p>\n

myKTEO 11th Fthinoporino Rally<\/strong>, the third round of the Greek Historic Rally Championship, was an excellent preparation for many crews ahead of the Historic Acropolis Rally. Panagiotis Paradeissis and Nikos Mouzakis<\/strong> claimed the victory in the Historic category in a Ford Escort RS1800 MKII, while Alexandros Christodoulou and Athanasios Samaras<\/strong> reached the podium for a third consecutive round, finishing second in a Lancia Delta Integrale 16V. Following a strong comeback, Ioannis Paravalos and Dionysis Kolotouros<\/strong> clinched third place in a Toyota Corolla AE92.<\/p>\n

All eyes are now on the Historic Acropolis Rally, and following this international event, the Championship will continue with two more rallies: Rally Pyrgou on December 1st and Rally Paladio on December 14.<\/p>\n
